Plastic Surgery

Rhinoplasty is an artistic expression of a plastic surgeon. Despite being one of the most frequently performed surgeries, there is a lot of misinformation surrounding it.

Pre-operative Preparation
During the initial consultation, the patient's requests are taken into account, and a detailed understanding of the desired nasal shape is acquired. In the second stage, a detailed examination of the patient's nose is conducted, and the patient is informed about the possible outcome of the operation.

The Operation Process
The surgery usually takes 1-2 hours and is conducted in the morning. After the operation, ice is applied to the eyes, and the patient is likely to experience slight discomfort rather than pain.

Post-Operation Process
The patient stays in the hospital for one night to ensure comfort during the early postoperative period and is discharged the following morning. A follow-up appointment is scheduled for the third day after the operation to remove the silicone air-channel splints, which have replaced traditional nasal tampons. This revolutionary technique causes minimal discomfort as it does not stick to the nose, and patients feel only a slight sensation when it is removed. Nasal tampons are not required for some patients, particularly those who do not require breathing surgery. After one week, the second follow-up appointment is scheduled, during which the nose splint is removed and replaced with a band. The natural healing process then commences, and after one month, the patient is invited back to take side-by-side comparison photographs with the preoperative images.
