The recovery process following hair transplant

1 – 15 days after the operation:
On the first day, there may be redness and bruising on the scalp. Since the scalp is extremely sensitive after the hair transplant operation, it is essential to take serious preventions to protect the skin in the first week. Some people may have symptoms such as mild pain and swelling after the operation that will resolve within a few days. Your doctor will provide you with the necessary information on this issue and you will be able to pass the process smoothly.
15 - 30 days after the operation:
This stage, which is often known as ‘shock hair loss’, resembles the catagen step of the hair growth process. The transplanted hair is completely shed as an expected stage and grows back by getting stronger in the transplanted area. Hair falling out during this stage does not represent transplant failure, your new hair follicles remain intact and ready to sprout. Approximately 3 months following this loss, the telogen phase of hair regrowth begins. 1 - 6 months after the operation:
