Beard Transplantation
Beard transplantation is an operation in which the roots taken from the nape region are transplanted to the beard area to compensate for the hair loss in the beard area.

The beards that make a significant appearance on the faces of the people are sometimes not at the desired level. Sometimes it is scattered even though it is at the desired density. For these reasons, the appearance of people is negatively affected by these situations.

Beard transplantation varies according to the need; Hair transplantation is performed to the loss or sparse areas according to the beard density in the other regions. The hair follicles taken from the nape region are usually used.
If the person has no beard and is over 20 years old, the desired area of transplantation is determined by the patient. The number of hairs to be transplanted also depends on the person's request.

Beard Transplantation Methods
As Globus Health, we use the FUE technique for beard transplantation. In this method, the transplantation process begins with the determination of the donor area. The donor area is first preferred from the regions on the neck and cheekbones, which are close to the beard line and are not aesthetically important. If sufficient grafts cannot be obtained from these regions, the hair of the nape region is preferred.
The second stage is to determine the area to be transplanted and how much hair follicles should be transplanted to the planned area. After these procedures, the canalization process is performed on the area to be transplanted. It is very important that the channels are opened by a specialist in order to fit the width of the hair follicles and to make the beard seems natural. After the canalization process, the following step is to take the grafts from the donor area. A determined number of grafts are taken one by one from the donor area by a device with a very thin tip and high circuit called a micro motor. The operation is completed by transplanting the graft follicles one by one into the channels.
The recovery process following beard transplant

The person is discharged on the day of beard transplantation. We carry out the first wash within 1 to 3 days after the transplant. The patient should carefully protect the transplanted area until the first wash. The patient should not contact the beard area with water, perfume, or cologne until the first washing procedure. In addition, the transplanted area should not be shaved until your doctor approves. You should definitely not use harmful substances such as tobacco products and alcohol in the first one-week period. This is because it takes a certain amount of time for the transplanted follicles and the skin to conjoin after the process completely. Reducing the duration of this process depends on the patient because the healing process becomes healthier with proper care and hygiene.
